Getting a Licence

Our flight training follows the BMAA (British Microlight Aircraft Association) syllabus and is approved by the CAA (Civil Aviation Authority). We are able to cover all aspects of your flight training and ground exams.

The minimum requirement for the NPPL (M) licence is 25 hours total flying time, to include 10 hours of solo flight and two qualifying cross country flights of at least 40 nautical miles.

To pass a flying test known as a GST

There are also multiple choice exams in:

  1. Principles of flight
  2. Air Law
  3. Navigation
  4. Meteorology
  5. Human Factors

We are able to provide one-to-one ground school to cover what you need to know or if you prefer you can self-study. We tailor our methods to suit the individual to ensure all our students reach the required level to pass and more importantly have the knowledge for safe and enjoyable flying.
